Custom Terrariums

Most reptiles eat insects and mealworms on a regular basis. And crickets are the most common item on the menu. Feeding you reptiles can be quite a chore, unless you know what you’re doing. You have to open the door to your custom reptile enclosure and plop those insects into your unique reptile cage. However, you don’t want any of these creepy-crawly creatures escaping and running around your living room or any other part of the house.

For many people, this one aspect of owning a reptile is a huge barrier. They are uncertain about purchasing reptiles and custom terrariums, as they don’t want to deal with the hassle of feeding live insects to their pet.

While there is no easy way to eliminate the responsibility of providing your pet with a tasty meal, there is a way to remove your concern about insects escaping into your house.

Safe, Secure Custom Terrariums

The best way to prevent your bed from becoming a haven for crickets or other insects, is to invest in a secure, custom reptile enclosure. You may wonder how this is possible. Reptiles need air like any other living creature. And it seems like insects can escape out of even the tiniest hole. So how can you find custom terrariums or a custom reptile enclosure that truly is secure?

Well, you can. At Cages by Design we specialize in creating top-of-the-line custom terrariums with all these safety mechanism built in. Our standard build to order cage comes with acrylic doors, which are inescapable. We do not drill any holes into these panels. Instead, they slide into the frame of your custom reptile enclosure via prebuilt grooves.  The top and sides of our unique reptile cage and custom terrariums are made from perforated aluminum. These tiny holes allow for plenty of air flow and light to penetrate your build to order cage or custom reptile cage. However, these holes are so small that not even a cricket can get through. The openings are 3/16" in diameter and are spaced 1/4" apart. So you have absolutely nothing to worry about. Those crickets and meal worms won’t be able to squeeze through your custom terrariums no matter how hard they try.
