Lovebird Cage
Like any parrot, lovebirds adore perches.
They flitter back and forth between them, happy as a lark. As you are outfitting
your lovebird cage with accessories, it’s important to consider how many perches
your pet needs.
You may think one or two perches in
your lovebird cage is plenty. After all, you just stopped by your friend’s house
and she had that amount in her budgie cages, so you figure she must know what she’s
doing. But that’s not always the case. At a minimum you should put that least 3-4
perches in your lovebird cage. The reason is lovebirds need different types of perches,
just as we need different types of shoes. If one perch is not comfortable, or difficult
to grasp they can hop to another. It would be difficult to wear dress shoes all
the time wouldn’t it? Well, the same goes for your love bird and his perches.
Since perches are an important part of your lovebird cage, you obviously need a parrot cage that is large enough to hold all these accessories.
A Roomy Lovebird Cage
Just because lovebirds are small,
doesn’t mean you can squash them into a canary cage. But at the same time that doesn’t
mean they need a huge finch avairy or large macaw cage to be happy. A decent sized
lovebird cage is 36”H x 36”L x 24”D. You can find a plethora of options for your
parrot cage when you purchase from Cages by Design. They offer a variety of love
bird cages including furniture style bird cages, stainless steel bird cages and
aviaries.
If you take your time and find a lovebird
cage that has enough space for your pet to move around…and has plenty of room for
perches, toys and accessories, your love bird will fall even deeper in love with
you. You may also want to consider purchasing a stand for your birdcage. One bonus
about a stand is they come with built in shelving. So you can store extra perches
and toys for later use.
